Sew Shabby Quilting

I have a few moments of peace and quiet.. While the babies are in dreamland.  So I thought I would take a few minutes to update the blog.  I am going to revel in this chance to relax and put my feet up, which is a rarity.

Check out this awesomeness by Auna R!  I love, love, love picots.  I have seen many of them recently.  I admit when I first got one of these quilts, I had no clue how to quilt them.  Most customers don’t want them quilted on, So for this quilt I actually just quilted the center with spider webs and added a cool border.   I wonder how the picots look washed?  Anyone want to share a photo?

They look pretty cool on the black backing as well.  I always do free-hand borders, even when using computerized in the center (I haven’t bothered to learn how).

Christmas already?  Yep folks, only 12 or so weeks left!  YIKES!   Here is a little teaser to get you excited about the holidays.  Rachel E.  makes gorgeous quilts and I love the way this pattern turned out on her quilt!  (Debs feather’s)

Well you had better get on the ball…  Don’t be like me and wait til the last minute to get those Christmas samplers finished!    Heck I am still working on a fall sampler I had made a year ago!  Ah well… Haste makes waste.  That’s my motto!
